​How old do I have to be to get certified as a scuba diver? 

Junior certifications are available for ages 10 -14.  Basic open water certification is age 15 or above.

Do I have to have my own equipment? 

You should already have properly fitting mask, fins, boots, gloves, and a snorkel.  The shop will supply all the other gear during your Introduction to Scuba and Open Water training. For eLearning modules, you must have access to a computer and the internet.

What types of payment do you accept? 

We accept Cash, Amex, Visa, Discover, and Master Card.

If I am PADI Certified can those certifications be applied to NAUI courses?

Yes. Any equivalent diver certification, SDI, SSI, PADI, can be applied as a prerequisite to a NAUI continuing education course.

What can I buy at your shop?

We are a full service dive shop. We offer a range of scuba equipment, gear, sunscreen, tanks, flags, and much more. If you are looking for specific item not in stock, we can order it for you. Turnaround times are based on vendor stock availability. Average turnaround times are a week to 10 days. 

 

Can I do my training here and take my open water tests in warmer waters of the south? 

Yes. You can complete all of your eLearning, classroom, and pool sessions at our facility and then complete your open water check-out dives at a participating destination dive shop. We handle all the referral paperwork.

Do you offer any discounts? 

Yes.  We offer discounted pricing to students in school, college, and persons in active military, active firefighters, & active local & state police officers. Any individual enrolled in a NAUI class with us is entitled to a 10% discount.

Is there a time frame to complete courses?

Yes.  You must complete your requirements within 180 days of signing up.

What is the typical time to complete a basic course?

There are many factors involved. It depends on the course, the individual, the weather, and other variables. An Enriched Air Course can take a day whereas an Advanced Open Water Course can take several weeks.

Do you offer one-on-one training?

Yes we offer individual student training at an additional cost. ​​​
