DESCRIPTION

Open Water Scuba Diver is our entry level scuba certification course during which you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely scuba dive in open water. When you complete your class, you will be free to explore and discover the many wonders of the underwater world and you will have earned a NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver certification card.​

The course consisted of three segments- Academic, Confined Water (pool) Training, and Open Water (ocean) Training.

ACADEMIC

The academic portion of the course is a combination of online eLearning and classroom presentation and discussion. This portion is approximately 10 - 12 hours.

CONFINED WATER

Confined Water Training is where you begin to apply the classroom training to the practical application of the skills in the water. There is a minimum of 4 pool sessions. It is there you will develop confidence in your abilities preparing you to go diving.

OPEN WATER

Open Water Training is where everything comes together, and you begin your journey in to the world of SCUBA diving.  It is a minimum of 4 open water dives, typically two dives per day on two separate days.

Medical Statement

​All students are required to complete a medical statement that needs to be turned in on the first day of class.  A medical physician's signature may be required. Diver Medical Form
