How old do I have to be to get certified as a scuba diver? 

Junior certifications are available for ages 10 -14.  Basic open water certification is age 15 or above.

 

Do I have to have my own equipment? 

You should already have properly fitting mask, fins, boots, gloves, and a snorkel.  The shop will supply all the other gear during your training.  For eLearning modules, you must have access to a computer and the internet.

 

What types of payment do you accept? 

We accept Cash, Amex, Visa, Discover, and Master Card.

What can I buy at your shop?

We offer a range of scuba equipment, gear, sunscreen, tanks, flags, and much more. If you can not find what you're looking for in store we have catalogues on hand you can look through. We will order desired items for you which would take around 2-4 days. 

 

Can I do my training here and take my open water tests in warmer waters of the south? 

Yes.  We permit certification referrals, as long as it is performed by a certified agency.

Do you offer any discounts? 

Yes.  We offer discounted pricing to students in school, college, and persons in active military, active firefighters, & active local & state police officers.

 

Is there a time frame to complete courses?

Yes.  You must complete your requirements within 180 days of signing up.

 

What is the typical time to complete a basic course?

It varies with the individual.  It can be as quickly as a few weeks depending on the student’s abilities.

Do you offer one-on-one training?

Yes we offer individual student training.

Do you participate in the referral certification program?

Yes. You can complete all of your eLearning, classroom, and pool sessions at our facility and then complete your open water check-out dives at a participating destination dive shop (Caribbean).

Is there a shop dog?

Yes there is. Our shop dog is named MAISI, after the shop. MAISI is a girl Australian Shepard with a lot of love and kisses!
